Delmarva Panel System

EQUIPPED AND ENGINEERED TO HANDLE HIGHER WIND AND SNOW LOADS!

Built Like Trusses! Unlike traditional pole buildings, NO NAILS are used to put together the frame of a pole building built using the Delmarva Panel System.

The Strongest Pole Buildings Anywhere!

There is a reason that wood-framed roof trusses are assembled with metal connector plates rather than nails, the same reason we use TWO metal plates at EVERY connection on our side walls and roofs. Don’t take our word for it, just ask any engineer about the durability and strength these trusses and screws provide!

Metal connector plates, often referred to as stud ties, mending plates, or nail plates, have integral teeth designed for lateral load transmission. Our plates are meticulously pressed into the timber using a specialized gantry at our facility. As the plate is pressed in, the teeth are simultaneously “driven” into the wood, and the compression between adjacent teeth minimizes the tendency to split. Additionally, we use rugged structural screws and trusses reinforced.

Typical pole buildings utilize trusses with metal connector plates at their joints, but Delmarva Buildings goes a step further. With the advanced Delmarva Panel System, we employ metal connector plates not only on the roof trusses but on every side and section of the pole building’s structure. Moreover, at every juncture where two pieces of wood meet, whether on panels or trusses,. We secure these joints with either 3″ x 6″ or 8″ x 8″ metal plates, guaranteeing superior stability and longevity.

We Use RSS™ Rugged Structural Screws Instead of Nails

A RSS™ Rugged Structural Screw is a heavy-duty flathead wood screw designed for robust applications. We utilize these structural screws to secure trusses and attach wood to wood at all header locations, ensuring a sturdy framework. Additionally, these screws are essential in fastening our pre-fabricated panels, which are reinforced with metal connector plates, to the poles. The use of Rugged Structural Screws not only provides superior strength compared to nails but also meets all code enforcement requirements, making them a reliable choice for constructing durable roof structures.

Using RSS™ Rugged Structural Screws ensures a robust header and fastening system in our Traditional Pole Buildings. The integration of metal connector plates and roof trusses fortifies the structure further, making it possible for our Premium Buildings with the Delmarva Panel System to be easily disassembled. This feature allows for the resale and/or relocation of your building, ensuring durability and flexibility throughout its lifecycle.

WHAT'S IN YOUR POLE BUILDING?

Which Pole Building is Stronger?

This says it all! Which pole building would you rather have? We are by no means implying that a traditionally built pole building is bad or unsafe. Our Standard Model buildings are built like any other traditionally built pole building, the same as they have been built for decades. We operate from a simple methodology; “Good”, “Better”, Best”! Our Standard models are “Better” than others and our Premium Models, which use the Delmarva Panel System are the Best”.
