THE ENCLOSED AREA BUILT INSIDE A RECTANGULAR SPACE IN THE BUILDING’S ROOF TRUSSES

This roof system does not have truss webs connecting the top and bottom chords, leaving the open area which is ideal for a finished room or storage.

Man caves, home offices, guest rooms, and children’s play areas are common “Attic Storage” rooms. Although Attic & Lofts Storage isn’t much less expensive than expanding your floor plan due to finishing costs, it is a great option for those who lack space to build outwards or want to keep their building’s overall floor plan smaller. You can have an “upstairs” without having to build a second floor.

Attic Storage trusses are designed to support a fully insulated living space with furniture and walls and often include electrical. Plumbing can be incorporated into the room provided the building below is insulated and heated. They have the same loading capacity, at 40 pounds per square foot, as a standard home flooring system.

You will need stairs in order to access the attic. We can build stairs outside or inside.

When deciding on having an attic, please keep in mind that in order to support the weight demands of storage space or a room, the number of trusses needed will be double the standard pole building. Standard pole buildings with no attic space have their roof trusses spaced four foot on center (4’ o.c. – every 4 feet) while pole buildings with attics will have the trusses spaced two foot on center (2’ o.c. – every 2 feet).
